ea

My grandmother uses to say “ea” after almost each sentence. This is very normal for some regions of Andalucía, her birthplace. I think it means something like, so be it, or let it be. I never realised that before, until this early morning, trying to fall asleep again... don’t ask me why, but I got a lot of ideas, thoughts in that sleepless hours. I used to dislike it, because I really need my sleeptime, but now I write it down and embrace it, because they really are good stuff, although I often don’t know why at that moment. So, back to “ea”.

I never think of her because I never wanted to look like her. She was not a kind person. But she did had beautiful hands . My mother, her actually daughter in law says, my hands are just like hers, the only one with her hands...gracias yaya!
